RENEGADES OF DIRT MODIFIEDS & ALL STAR LATE MODELS HIGHLIGHT HILLTOP SPEEDWAY’S MAY RACES

An action packed month of May is set for Hilltop Speedway beginning on Saturday, May 5th with the first appearance of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Series. In their first year of existence, the touring series has a 14 race schedule in Ohio and West Virginia and has organized with the Tri State Modified Association to boost the Modifieds with a separate point fund for the tour. With a weekly show of Modifieds that is second to none at Hilltop, throw in a $1,500 to win the 25 lap feature that will draw in more of the top dogs to challenge Kevin Morehouse, Tom Kugel, Norm Aronhalt, Jimmy Smith and all the regulars at Hilltop, it will be an exciting night of Modified racing.

The All Star Late Models roll back into Millersburg on Saturday, May 26th with a $5,000 to win show. Two years ago when the All Star Late Models were at Hilltop Speedway, Waterford, Pa.’s Dave Hess was the winner, he has also won a regular feature in both Late Models and Modifieds at Hilltop. Last seasons All Star champion, Donnie Moran and his son Devin, who has won the first two features at Hilltop this year, are expected in to hold off Hilltop regulars George Lee, Doug Drown, Ryan Markham, Charlie Duncan, Steve Prince, Dave Hornikel and all the usual tough Hilltop Late Model drivers. STO (Sportstime Ohio) will be in to tape the race for later broadcast. STO is based out of Cleveland and is a regional sports station.

Saturday’s May 12th and 19th will be regular racing nights with the Holmes Tire Late Models, TSMA Modifieds, Street Stock, Ministocks, Bug-R-Gone Trucks and the Mini Wedges. Saturday the 19th will be Driver Autograph night as the pits will be open up for the fans after Hotlaps to see and talk to the drivers and get their autographs before the races start.

Pit gates open at 3 pm with general admission gates swing open at 4 pm, Hotlaps at 5 pm and racing at 7 pm every Saturday night and for more information about the track, head to www.hilltopspeedway.org
